LA VIDA Education partners with schools in the community to address construction and restoration needs. In this way, LA VIDA helps to ensure that basic physical necessities, like a clean, safe and functional learning environment, are part of every child’s learning experience. Work groups often help provide the resources and labor for these projects, although local community participation is required for projects to be approved. Some examples of construction projects include:

Auditorium Windows
El Alfarero Elementary School

• Includes the purchase and installation of steel bars
  for all windows of the auditorium.
• Allows the school to now use the auditorium for
  parent meetings, classroom activities, and the
  storage of school resources.

Auditorium Retaining Wall and Seating Area
JBM Elementary School

• Prevents erosion and mud from entering directly into the auditorium.
• Increases seating capacity by more than 100 people.
