What drew you to LA VIDA?
I am a Nicaraguan woman and have long felt a desire to give to my country of origin. My belief in the importance of education and my personal faith fuel my commitment to be a part of the vision of LA VIDA in Nicaragua and other places in Latin America. As I dream about the possibilities, I imagine communities that grow and thrive intellectually, physically and spiritually because LA VIDA is bridging the gap between poverty and educational opportunities that nurture the whole person. I love knowing that I can live out my calling to share Christ’s love in a practical way through my involvement with LA VIDA Education.
Educational Background?
B.A. in English from Santa Clara University and M.A. from Wheaton College.
What makes you laugh?
My kids’ reasons for not being able to sit in the time out chair: “Mommy I can’t be in time out, I am Captain Hook.” “Mommy, I am not available right now, you are being mean and you are being jealous of me.”
