• Friends of San Juan de Oriente is a sister city project between Sacramento, California and San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua. FSJO has been involved with the community of San Juan de Oriente since 1987 and continues to help fund a number of projects each year.

• The River Church Community sends teams around the world as part of their International Compassion Experience programs. Each year, The River partners with LA VIDA to bring a team to San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua. They have been instrumental in funding and helping to effectively shape the way in which work trips operate.

Felipa and Gerard Benkovich

• Felipa and Gerard Benkovich are well known in the San Juan de Oriente community for their generous support. Felipa was born in San Juan de Oriente and currently lives in Oroville, California with her husband, Gerard. They help LA VIDA immensely with their knowledge, sound advice, and a lasting connection to the local community.
